Zoltan Gera has questioned his future at West Brom as Middlesbrough are again linked with the Hungary international midfielder.

"It wasn't the best season of my career," Gera told origo.hu. "I didn't want to stay because I wanted to move up to the Premiership as soon as possible.

"I finished the year with West Brom but then we couldn't win promotion so I have to say it wasn't a successful year for me.

"I have proved in the past that I can play at Premiership level and my aim is to play there again.

"I'm sure that I can play better than I did this year - and I hope I can prove it in the following season."
