Middlesbrough coach expects keeper exit

Middlesbrough goalkeeper coach Paul Barron admits their talented pool of keepers is likely to see some seek moves away.

Reflecting on a squad that includes Mark Schwarzer, Brad Jones, Ross Turnbull and David Knight, Barron told Boro's website: "The problem is you can't keep them all happy all of the time. We have to get people out on loan to get experience but we want to do all that without losing them so it's a very fine balancing act."

But the former Villa and QPR keeper understands that some of the keepers will eventually move on.

"There come a time when you have to be prepared to see some of that fall by the wayside.

"Who knows what's going to happen? But at the present moment everybody is doing really well and we're managing to keep them if not deliriously happy, then approximately happy."
