Super agent Jorge Mendes is pushing Manchester United to make a move for his client Bruno Fernandes.
But the Old Trafford club aren't planning on a late transfer deadline-beating bid for the Portuguese midfielder, says the Mirror.
Fernandes has been one of the most-discussed names of the transfer window, but a move has failed to materialise for the Sporting Lisbon captain.
Tottenham were said to be close to finalising an agreement for the 24-year-old, who managed 31 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions from midfield last season.
But a deal to take him to north London failed to materialise as Spurs instead opted to prioritise their efforts to do deals for Paulo Dybala, Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon.
