Memphis Depay dug in his heels yesterday to insist he was staying with Barcelona.

A move to Juventus fell through last week, while Chelsea and Manchester United had expressed interest in recent days.

However, in the afternoon, Memphis took to social media on deadline day to announce his decision.

"I have decided to stay at Barça. Fully committed to contributing to the sporting success of the club," he stated.

Memphis is in a strong position as his deal expires in June, so allowing him to seek a big Bosman pay-day from January 1.
