Melbourne Victory welcome Victoria University

Melbourne Victory have agreed a five-year strategic partnership with Victoria University (VU), Australia's leading sports university, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

VU will provide the side with sports science and performance support for its Academy programs. The collaboration will create opportunities for VU undergraduates studying Master of Sports Science and Master of Sport Business and Integrity to participate in internships and to work placements.

"We are thrilled to be working with Australia's leading sports university for the next five years, and we're looking forward to building a strong and sustainable partnership with Victoria University," said Ian Robson, chief executive at the Victory.

"This partnership aligns perfectly with the enormous body of work we are undertaking to establish the Melbourne Victory Academy, as well as other already established programmes in our Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League programmes.

"We will truly benefit from the access to Victoria University's coaching, sports science and high-performance programmes, and we're pleased to be able to offer VU's students an opportunity to experience working in an elite sporting organisation."
