Melbourne Heart keen on Colosimo

Melbourne Heart are keen to sign a third player from Sydney FC with plans to try and lure Simon Colosimo to the club.

The 31-year old defender left Sydney the morning after the Grand Final two weekends ago to take up a contract with Korean club FC Seoul but a visa could not be sorted so the deal fell through at the 11th hour.

Today, Heart CEO Scott Munn told 442.com.au that the club would definitely look into adding Colosimo to their inaugural playing squad to link up with former Sky Blues teammates Clint Bolton and John Aloisi.

"We've spoken to Simon on numerous occasions and Simon has expressed his absolute desire to continue to train and play in the lead up to a World Cup," Munn said.

"We'd love to secure Simon and we'd love him to go to the World Cup as well. My understanding is he's returned from Korea and we'll continue to work with his management and hopefully we'll be able to secure his services.

"It'd be great to bring a Melbourne boy home."
