Ben Mee says Burnley should be proud of their season.

Finishing in 15th position might not represent a great success on the surface.

But considering the Clarets were in the relegation zone on Boxing Day, Mee believes his teammates should be delighted with their efforts.

"It's a fantastic achievement," said the 29-year-old central defender.

"It's a really successful season for the club, and it gives us chance to rebuild and get even stronger next year.

"From where we were at halfway to where we are now, it's been a brilliant turnaround, and with the summer now, the club will get the chance to get that extra bit of money coming in and hopefully we can make the club even stronger than we are now.

"I've enjoyed it, the last four or five months.

"It's been a good second half of the season and playing every minute, personally, has been a great achievement."
