Australian youngster Dylan McGowan made his debut first team appearance in Scottish football on the weekend.
The 19-year old Adelaide-born midfielder, who is on loan from Scottish Premier LeagueHeart of Midlothian, played a full 90 minutes as East Fife demolished Stenhousemuir 6-0 in Scotland's Second Division.
Dozens of volunteers had to clear the Bayview pitch of snow to ensure the match actually went ahead and when it did, the visitors probably wished they had stayed home.
The Fifers dominated proceedings, scoring four times in the first half before adding two more in the second 45 minutes of action.
McGowan was heavily involved throughout the match and had a hand in the fourth goal when he was brought down in the area with Robert Sloan converting the ensuing penalty.
It was an impressive debut from McGowan whose older brother Ryan has made two subs appearances for Hearts this season.
