West Bromwich Albion defender Gareth McAuley is full of praise for new teammate Claudio Yacob.

McAuley believes the presence of Argentina international Yacob as a midfield anchorman has been crucial to Albion, who have kept clean sheets in home wins against Liverpool and Everton.

McAuley told the Express & Star: "We are looking solid with Claudio in front of us, who does a great job for the team and breaks up play and has been fantastic in the first three games.

"His game is getting the ball back, winning it and playing it simple.

"He is a great player and a great find for the club.

"I'm delighted to have him in there because he does a lot of hard work to break up play and makes our job at the back a little bit easier."
