Bristol City fullback Jamie McAllister hopes Hibs attacker Ivan Sproule joins him at the Championship club this summer.

He told The Scotsman: "I played against him a few times and he's got electric pace and is very dangerous when he gets the ball. I watched him a bit last season as well and I think he would be a great addition to our side if we get him. I know we have been looking at him.

"I'm sure he would love it down here, it's a great club and a great bunch of lads and I think he would fit in to English football really well. The further up the leagues you go the more pace there is in teams and his pace is incredible."
