Sunderland signing Adam Matthews feels right at home with the Black Cats following his transfer from Scottish champions Celtic.

The Welshman is currently on the North American tour with the squad and has revealed that he has thoroughly enjoyed his first week with the Wearside club.

"It's been really good, I don't feel like I'm new around the place and all the boys have made me feel really welcome," Matthews told safc.com.

"I'm really very happy with everything, and how it's all going. I'm fully expecting to have an initiation while I'm here [on pre-season tour], I've got a few ideas but I'll not say yet what song I'm going to sing as I've not decided yet."
