Marino: Roma must keep Dybala; I had a deal for him with Atalanta

Former Roma sports chief Pierpaolo Marino says the club should keep Paulo Dybala.

Roma legend Francesco Totti has questioned Dybala's future given his injury record.

Marino said: "I would keep him, but not to go into conflict with Totti, who when I was at Roma played in the juniors. Among other things, I had signed Dybala during his time at Atalanta before he went to Palermo but then the deal fell through due to agent issues.

"If someone plays 20 games instead of 38, but those 20 are decided by you, they are still points that other players don't bring with a certain mathematics.

"Rather in the squad I would set up a serious competitiveness with another player to study an appropriate playing time, but I would always keep Dybala in a team that must win."
