Marco Baroni has been named new coach of Hellas Verona.

Baroni takes charge after surprisingly leaving Lecce last week after guiding them to Serie A safety.

He has signed a one-year deal with Verona with a 12 month option.

Baroni played for the club from 1996 to 1998, retiring in 2000.

He also worked as Juventus U19 coach.
