Diego Maradona believes that Jose Mourinho is better than Pep Guardiola.

Despite the success that Guardiola has enjoyed with Manchester City in recent years, Maradona still sees Mourinho as his number one.

The Manchester United manager has come in for a lot of criticism this season, with some suggesting he will lose his job at the end of the campaign.

Maradona is quoted as saying by The Sun: "Because he [Mourinho] is the best without doubt.

"For me yes, Mou is best.

"I would give Pep the merit of taking advantage of the launch that Johan Cruyff gave him.

"I have said on more than one occasion that tiki-taka was not invented by Guardiola.

"At the moment Pep is able to choose any player in the world that he wants. That way tiki-taka is easier."
