Gregory Manzano can see Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann returning to Atletico Madrid.

At his former club Atletico, they are reportedly in talks with Barcelona over a swap deal that would see Griezmann return to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano and Saul Niguez head to the Camp Nou, and it's a deal Manzano thinks could benefit both teams.

"I think if this goes through, it's good for both sides. It's not a question of one side coming out better than the other," he told Radio Marca.

Manzano went on to discuss the way in which Atletico have been transformed since the appointment of Diego Simeone back in 2011.

"I think the positive change he's had on the club is very noticeable," he stated.

"They've had huge financial growth and improved massively on the pitch as well. Atleti are now one of the top eight or ten sides in Europe and are competing at the top level season after season."
