Manchester United are yet to launch an official offer for Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon.
Sevilla, the club Reguilon spent last season on loan, have moved on to other targets after being price out of a move for the 23-year-old.
United chief negotiator Matt Judge has held talks with the Spaniard's representatives.
But ESPN reports that an official bid has yet to be lodged with Real.
The La Liga giants are open to selling Reguilon due to the presence of Marcelo and Ferland Mendy at left-back.
However, it remains unclear whether Reguilon wants a move to Old Trafford.
Tottenham have also shown an interest in the Real academy product.
