Tahith Chong has earned praised from Manchester United U23 boss Neil Wood after his double against Tranmere Rovers.
Chong's effort was not enough for United to collect the win and they were subsequently knocked out of the EFL Cup.
But Wood was happy for the Dutch teenager, who has been pushing for a first-team spot this season.
"He's done really well," Wood told the club's website.
"He's had some games up with the first team and, when he comes here, he's done well for us.
"I'm pleased for him, having scored two great goals and had a great impact in the second half. He was a real threat and did well."
