Man Utd star Rashford provides positive injury update

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has revealed he is ready to step up his recovery from a back injury.

The England international hasn't played since suffering the injury against Wolves in January.

"I'm ready to step it up a little bit now, it's difficult to do with not being in the training ground," the England international explained on the UTD podcast.

"I've just added a few bits and pieces and am pushing myself a bit more on the bike, doing some more core work and upper body. Just day-by-day really, taking it slow.

"It's difficult, training at the training ground every day is the peak of your fitness, to try and emulate that at home is almost impossible but everyone's just trying to get as close to that as they can to that.

"Some of the lads have been out running every day, they have programmes from the clubs, sometimes it's 5ks 6ks, but even doing that running 6k maybe it's more than you'd run in a training session but it's not the same intensity, no spike in intensity, so it's difficult.

"But you have to try and do as best as you can and you know yourself when you're fit as you can be and during this time it's definitely tough."
