Manchester United have Edinson Cavani at the top of the summer transfer hit-list according to reports.
It is believed that the Red Devils will go after the Paris Saint-Germain striker at the end of the season if they happen to sell Robin van Persie.
United are preparing to offload the Dutch striker, 31, if they receive offers for him when the summer window opens as his contract expires at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal is keen on Uruguay international Cavani and will formulate a bid if there is interest in van Persie who the Mirror is linking with a potential return to Holland's Eredivisie.
To add to the speculation, Cavani suggested that his future may life away from Parc des Princes.
"For now I think only to finish the season well here and give my best for the club that pays me," he told calciomercato.com.
"In Paris, I'm fine, but in football you never know what can happen in the future."
