The £25 million fee that Manchester United want for goalkeeper Dean Henderson could scupper his summer move.
The shot stopper wants to move permanently to Nottingham Forest, where he was on loan this season.
Henderson, who is recovering from an injury that curtailed his season, is a key target for Forest.
However, The Athletic states that in order to match his Man United wages, Forest must lower the fee they pay for Henderson.
Whether United agree to such an arrangement is another matter, as the Red Devils have transfer plans of their own.
They will want to secure a high fee for Henderson, and may even decide to keep him if the quoted prices are too low.
