The England goalkeeper spent last season on-loan with Nottingham Forest, where he is wanted in a permanent deal.

However, United may yet seek to keep hold of Henderson due to doubts over David de Gea's plans.

Off contract this week, De Gea is yet to respond to United's offer to extend his deal on reduced terms.
