United offloading Sanchez, who is paid a basic £400,000-a-week before bonuses that potentially take him past the £500k mark, has proved difficult.
The Mirror says Inter chiefs have held talks with Sanchez and his advisers over a switch to San Siro, but are unwilling to take on the full load.
As such, to get Sanchez out the door, United will have to continue paying 50 per cent of his salary to ensure a deal.
Inter are looking to complete switch that could become permanent, if Sanchez impresses, for £14million at the end of the season. It's believed that they won't pay an initial loan fee.
