Juan Mata has congratulated former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney on his performances with DC United.
Rooney's stunning form for DC has helped the club qualify for the MLS playoffs.
“This time, Everton don't have Rooney, but they have players that I have a really good relationship with like Morgan Schneiderlin," Mata wrote in his weekly blog.
“I want to take the chance to congratulate Wayne for how well he is playing in the MLS, class and quality truly know no age. He has been a key man in helping his team qualify for the play-offs, so I wish him the best of luck and hope he will keep entertaining us all."
