Manchester United midfielder Fred admits he is excited to take on Leeds United.

While Fred is Brazilian, he is acutely aware of the rivalry between United and Leeds.

The two historic clubs are set to do battle twice in a week in the Premier League.

"Games against Leeds are another 'clasico' of English football, a really important derby," Fred told club media in an interview.

"Whenever we come up against them, everyone's talking about it in the week leading up to the game.

"Scoring in this fixture is great, a wonderful feeling seeing the fans jumping, you can feel their excitement. It's really satisfying scoring in these games, as I've said before, I hope to score more of these goals."

"Exactly, there are a lot of games coming up," he added on upcoming games in general.

"I hope we can do our best in these upcoming fixtures.

"We're still competing in all competitions, we have to continue doing our best. Of course, when we score, we'll celebrate our goals with the fans, run towards the cameras.

"This is to make everyone happy and for the fans to be behind us at all times."
