Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley is relishing the chance of impressing new manager Louis van Gaal.
The 24-year-old is clearly enthused by the new era.
"I have kept hearing little things about him and I think everyone has been looking forward to meeting with him, training with him and of course playing for him," Cleverley told manutd.com. "There is definitely an excitement around the squad. We are all looking forward to it."
On the subject of his goals for the season, Cleverley continued: "I have just got to take it day-by-day to be honest. Obviously, with the new manager coming in, you want to try to impress him as soon as possible and make a good first impression. That is my first target, my short-term goal and then I will take it from there."
