Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has explained why he withdrew Luke Shaw at half-time against Granada on Thursday.
The England left-back was enjoying yet another fine performance for United before being withdrawn at the interval.
Speaking after the 2-0 away victory, which puts United in a strong position for the second leg next week, Solskjaer admitted he had to protect Shaw ahead of Sunday's clash with Tottenham.
"I had to protect Luke," replied the manager when asked why he replaced Shaw with Alex Telles.
"But I think and hope he should be okay for the weekend."
