Manchester United are lining up a move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.

The Manchester Evening News says United believe Chilwell could solve their problems in the position as worries about Luke Shaw linger.

Shaw has missed 13 games this season through injury following a pre-season which raised concerns among United staff.

The left-back has been plagued by injuries since joining United in June 2014, not least the shocking leg fracture in the 2015/16 season, and it was his general fitness which rang alarm bells in the summer.

Chilwell has been pivotal to Leicester's defensive record which has seen them concede fewer goals than any other Premier League side this season - but he would cost a hefty amount to prise away from the King Power.
