Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has spoken if the differences between Edwin van der Sar and Peter Schmeichel.
Ferguson was asked about the goalkeeping greats at the launch of his new autobiography.
"Edwin and Peter Schmeichel were two different personalities. Schmeichel was a warrior, he blasted every defender. Edwin was so calm and that was terrific for our defenders. In the dressing room he was forthright, a magnificent presence. He was a free player at the back for us (a good footballer). It was a great buy for us, I just wish I got him when Peter decided to leave at that time."
