Man Utd left-back Shaw takes responsibility for poor display against Liverpool

Manchester United left back Luke Shaw admits his performance against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday was not good enough.

Shaw was responsible for several of Liverpool's goals in the Premier League fixture, which the away side won 5-0.

The England international was tormented by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah throughout the game.

"Not good enough, I know of course this game is a team sport, a team game, but I think as individuals we need to be accountable of some of the performances today and that's why I'm here now," Shaw told Stadium Astro.

"I'm not hiding in there, not speaking, I come out and say I wasn't good enough. I speak on behalf of myself, not the team.

"I'm accountable for my performance and it wasn't good enough.

"I'm not here to speak about the team, we know we can be better, but for me also I need to be better than I was today.

"That's why I came here now and not hide and speak to you and tell it how it is."
