Man Utd lean on Fernandes to move for Sporting CP whiz Nuno Mendes

Manchester United haven't dropped their interest in Sporting CP wing-back Nuno Mendes.

A Bola says United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on Mendes, despite being well-stocked at left-back with Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams on the books.

United are looking to sign Sporting star Mendes when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.

Both Shaw and Williams have done well at left-back, with the former enjoying his best form since his arrival from Southampton back in 2014.

It's stated that the player's agent Miguel Pinho, who also represents Bruno Fernandes, has a good relationship with the Red Devils.

And that special relationship could help United sign Mendes, despite the deal reportedly requiring plenty of work this summer.
