Premier League giants Manchester United have extended the deal of a veteran center half.
The Red Devils have moved to secure Sweden star Victor Lindelof for the near term.
Per Ihe Sun and other sources, Lindelof will see his contract extended for another season.
The club had an option to do so at his present wage, which keeps Lindelof at the club until the end of next season.
Whether he remains at United for that long is up for interpretation, as this move may be about preserving the player's transfer value.
United are likely to see big changes to the squad in the summer when INEOS takes full sporting control of the club.
