Manchester United defender Daley Blind is shocked by the serious injury suffered by former Ajax teammate Abdelhak Nouri.
It's been confirmed Nouri has permanent brain damage after collapsing in a friendly match on Saturday.
The 20-year-old had "cardiac arrhythmias" - heart rhythm problems - during the game against Werder Bremen.
Blind, a former Ajax captain, said: "It's sad. To be honest it is difficult to put into words how I feel. The same goes for the people in Amsterdam and the whole football world.
"Nouri was such a great talent and a good man.
"I have not played with him long; a few training sessions and a few games. I don't know what to say. I wish his family, his friends and anyone involved with him the very best."
