Manchester United are set to hand Dean Santangelo a deal to the end of the season.
The Daily Mail says the 19-year-old is being brought in from Augsburg in Germany and is expected to be given a short term contract until the end of the season.
Santangelo was born in London but raised in Switzerland before returning to England where he graduated through Reading's ranks. He also had loan spells with Bromley before looking to revive his career in Germany. Augsburg are struggling in the Bundesliga but Santangelo has been restricted to playing for their B team.
United are willing to give him a chance to impress as clubs look to take some of their other young keepers on loan.
