Man Utd boss Ten Hag pushed about Sancho; updates on Antony

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was tightlipped on Jadon Sancho today over questions about ordering him to train away from the senior squad.

Sancho will work away from the first team until he apologises to Ten Hag for criticising him online.

Ten Hag said: "We close the game, we work on the feedback. I think we played well against Arsenal and we deserved much more but it wasn't on our side.

"You can see we are progressing. We should have won there but we didn't. The players are back now and we are ready to fight Brighton.

"Sometimes you have setbacks with players being injured or unavailable for other reasons. Our squad is very good and the players available are motivated."

He also said: "It's always about team. The team is above everything else.

"There are many different characters and you have to manage them. The team is always above anything else."

Ten Hag admits he doesn't know when Antony will return. The winger is currently at home in Brazil while he is being investigated over claims of domestic assault.

The manager says he has spoken to Antony: "He is disappointed but he's OK."
