Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has made Marcus Rashford's new contract a priority.

United have just triggered the 12 month option in Rashford's deal, but Ten Hag is eager to secure the striker long-term.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports getting the No 10 to pen a new deal has become an 'obsession' for Ten Hag behind the scenes.

"Behind the scenes, Erik ten Hag is pushing Man Utd's board, as an obsession, to extend Marcus Rashford's contract," he said on YouTube.

"Erik ten Hag thinks it's going to be really difficult for Man Utd to find another player like Rashford on the market.

“He considers him a top player and wants a long-term contract for Rashford."
