Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is hoping on positive news over new contracts.
Before Friday's presser for the trip to Newcastle, it was reported Luke Shaw had agreed a new long-term deal.
Ten Hag said: "If he signed, I don't know, I haven't heard, John didn't inform me until now. I have to wait for that. If true, I am pleased.
"We definitely want to keep him because he's a really important player for our team."
Asked if he wanted to keep Marcis Rashford and David De Gea too, Ten Hag also said: "Yeah, I do."
