Man Utd boss Ten Hag happy with Shaw return

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has lauded Luke Shaw's impact since returning to action.

The England left-back was absent for three months with a serious hamstring tear.

However, Shaw has worked himself back to full fitness and started the club's last four games.

"I think a lot, he is a player others can build on," Ten Hag enthused to reporters ahead of a Saturday clash with Bournemouth.

"He gives belief and confidence to other players.

"So the teammates around him feel comfortable, he will deal with different situations, he will set up and take the initiative to create and strengthen absolutely the team.

"His presence, his personality, but he also has the skill set with physicality, so strong, also technically very good. He is a high-profile player and we are happy he is back on."
