Man Utd boss Ten Hag: De Gea must have better focus

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is demanding greater focus from David de Gea after Sunday's blunder for defeat at West Ham.

Ten Hag recognised today that De Gea should be doing better in such moments.

"Good as well," Ten Hag replied when asked about De Gea. "We can't ignore it but individual mistakes are part of football and there was in the Brighton game also a big individual mistake.

"But sometimes it's happening, it shouldn't happen, when you are in the right focus it will not happen, that is part of the reset of this week."

He also said: "Important is the opponent we face tomorrow: Wolves. We have to take them seriously. They have done a great job, so focus on that. But they also have deficits, take advantage of that.

"Of course, we can ignore that, why not? Because it's not important. We have everything in our hands and as long as we have everything in our hands we are in control, we are not dependent on them, we are dependent on ourselves."
