Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag admits Christian Eriksen could start tomorrow against Champions League opponents FC Copenhagen.
Ten Hag says the midfielder is a big part of his plans.
He stated: “You see his importance when he's on the pitch and he's a big influence on our team.
"He's a great player, a brilliant player and he's very important for our squad."
On why he's not starting, the manager also said: “We have many great players. We don't have a squad of 11; we have a squad where there's internal competition and in the back we have some struggle to line up but in the midfield department there's huge competition internally in our squad."
