Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag turned down a post-match interview with ViaPlay last night.
Ten Hag declined the request after the Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle.
"We understand that Erik ten Hag is not available for an interview," presenter Koen Weijland informed analysts Cedric van der Gun and Ron Vlaar and the viewers. "That is not mandatory, but he seems eager to avoid it.
"He also did not do the press conference before the match. That is also not mandatory."
Former Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar said, "What else do you have to say in his situation?
"I would still think it would be strong if he had done it. I mean: you are the trainer. Maybe he is being kept out of the wind a bit by the club."
Van der Gun could not understand it.
"It's part of it. It surprises me a bit. The next time he is there, I am very curious about his explanation. Until now, he has always spoken to the press neatly."
