Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has apologised to Henrikh Mkhitaryan for hooking him at halftime of their FA Cup win against Derby County.
After a goalless first half, the Manchester United boss withdrew Mkhitaryan in order to get the club's top scorer Romelu Lukaku into the action.
Lukaku and Jesse Lingard scored for the 2-0 win.
Mourinho revealed his thoughts on the tactical switch and what he said to Mkhitaryan.
"Unfair. I had to sacrifice a player," said the United boss. "I apologised to him in front of the players."
