Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is ready to see Alexis Sanchez sold, it has been claimed.

The Daily Star says Sanchez, 29, was axed from Manchester United's 18-man squad ahead of their lunchtime defeat at West Ham.

United fought off competition from neighbours Manchester City to land Sanchez from Arsenal back in January.

But the move now appears an expensive mistake with Mourinho plotting to offload the Chile international.

United's troubled season reached a new low after a 3-1 defeat against the Hammers.
