Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to axe Patrice Evra this weekend.
The Daily Mail says Ferguson looks set to drop French left back Evra for Saturday's game with Wigan Athletic and hand a debut to Alexander Buttner.
Evra has been first choice at Old Trafford since he signed in 2006, but he has looked edgy in the opening games of the season.
And now Ferguson looks set turn to his £3.9million signing from Vitesse Arnhem.
Ferguson bought Buttner - even though United rated him as only the third- or fourth-best left-back in Holland - to put pressure on the 31-year-old Frenchman, who has remained unchallenged in the left-back slot for the past six seasons.
