Man Utd boost as Birmingham make special request for Bellingham sale

Birmingham City have set their terms for Jude Bellingham's sale.

ESPN says Birmingham want a significant proportion of any deal to sign Bellingham up front in cash.

The report claims that the Blues are consigned to losing the teenage star this summer amid strong interest from Manchester United, but want to ensure they get a large chunk of money now to ease the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

United had been keen to do a deal involving a smaller down payment and a number of performance-related add-ons.

However, Birmingham's stance could actually be good news for United, with the club likely to have a greater cash budget than rivals Borussia Dortmund.
