Manchester United have made an enquiry after Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.

The Daily Star says United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate for a new centre-back this summer.

It's said that Solskjaer's preferred choice is World Cup winner Varane.

The ace is regarded as one of the world's best in his position.

However, United will apparently have to meet Varane's enormous £430m release clause for Real to even consider parting ways.
