Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is closing on Dennis Rommedahl's Denmark caps record.

Eriksen will match the former winger's 126 appearances if he plays tonight against San Marino.

"As far as I know, I hit 'Romme' with 126 games, so I'm happy about that," he said.

"Rommedahl welcomed me when I started in Ajax and in the national team, so it is a special number.

"I am happy that I can come up to his if I play."
