Man Utd ace Eriksen named Man of the Match: The manager wanted things to change

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen was delighted with their 1-0 Champions League win against FC Copenhagen.

Eriksen's introduction changed the course of the game on the night and was later named man of the match.

He said, "The manager wanted more ball movement and to create a little bit more. Second half, we had a lot of big chances to finish the game off but at the moment we make it difficult for ourselves, and that's why we had the finish we had. This is our first win – now we need two more just to have a chance to go through, and we want to go through. We only have one thing to do [in Copenhagen], and that's to win.

"We saw a bit of a video from the manager before the game showing a clip of what Sir Bobby Charlton meant to the club. We felt that going onto the pitch, and also walking out with the flowers. Just to see how big he is at this club, and how much he means for everyone, is amazing, so he has done something really big with his life.

"We are starting to win games; it's a start. We know with the football we can do better, but at the moment we got three points and we need to keep it going."
