Manchester City are set to sensationally trump London giants Arsenal for Bolton Wanderers teenager Kyle Bartley.

The News of the World says the Gunners thought they had a £500,000 deal set up the England youth defender after he went on tour with their kids.

But Bartley, 17, is now ready to switch to City in a deal that allows him to stay close to his roots.

It's a major blow for Arsenal, who thought the defender was theirs.
