Manchester United now have a free run at Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese star, who is currently participating in the UEFA Nations League Finals with his country, is a wanted man.
Fernandes is valued at roughly £71million by his club, with City and United bought thought to have an interest.
However, A Bola suggest that City have moved out of the race, leaving United as the primary club chasing his signature.
Fernandes managed an impressive 28 goals in all competitions from an attacking midfield position.
He would be a key United target this summer, especially if Paul Pogba leaves for Juventus or Real Madrid.
Another team who could come in for Fernandes are Tottenham, should they lose Christian Eriksen to Real Madrid.
