Man City fullback Bridge accepts Capello truce with Chelsea's Terry

Manchester City fullback Wayne Bridge has accepted a truce with Chelsea captain John Terry on orders from England boss Fabio Capello.

The Mail on Sunday says Capello insisted on the former Chelsea team-mates coming to an understanding and helped engineer talks between the pair following revelations about Terry's relationship with Bridge's former long-term partner, Vanessa Perroncel.

A source said: "It is a big dressing room, they don't have to have a peg right next to each other. But will they be able to play together at the World Cup? Yes.

"They are speaking. That doesn't mean one man is necessarily going to accept the other person's point of view or agree with it, but the important thing is that they have now spoken.

"They don't have to go out to dinner together or be friends in order to have a working relationship.

"But it looks as though they have reached the point whereby they are able to think about what is best for themselves and for the England team."
